The surf club opened in May 2008, after being completely rebuilt.  Apart from being the home for surf life saving, the surf club is also used by many community groups for meetings and events.  The surf club includes a beach patrol room, administration office, fully equipped first aid room, gymnasium, licensed bar, commercial kitchen, members restrooms, and equipment storage. The surf club is strictly a non-smoking venue.

The 'Sand Factor'
Sand damages equipment, floors, furniture and can block drains. To help minimize the amount of sand entering the surf club, please wash feet and shake sand from clothing before entering the surf club. Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times, along with clean, dry clothing when entering the upper level of the surf club. Surf club equipment must be washed before storing. Brooms are made available to sweep sand from storage areas.

There's plenty of parking directly across the road from the surf club, and along Del Monte Dr.

Toilet and shower facilities are located on the southern side of the surf club.

Access & Security Procedures
Access to the surf club is for members only.  Please contact a member if you wish to access the surf club outside business hours.  Children under the age of 15 are not permitted upstairs unless supervised by an adult.

Located on the upper level of the surf club, Sundowners is open during the surf life saving season from October to April from 5:00 to 8:00pm every Sunday.  Enjoy the only tap beer and ciders in Copacabana, a selection of wines, amazing views, along with a light meal menu awaits you. Bring along the family and friends this Sunday.  Always a great way to finish off the weekend.
