JOIN OUR CLUB TODAY

Surf Life Saving is open to everyone, no matter your age, gender, cultural background or even your swimming ability. There is a role for everyone in Surf Life Saving Clubs. The more people involved within our club the more the club can do for the community, our beaches and Surf Life Saving.

Be a Surf Lifesaver (13yrs +)

More than 20,000 people in NSW are volunteer surf lifesavers!

By becoming a surf lifesaver, you will gain lifelong skills and knowledge in surf awareness, rescue techniques, radio communication, and CPR to help patrol the beach and keep members of your community safe.

Once you become a surf lifesaver by gaining your Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion, there are a huge range of opportunities available to you such as competing, operating powercraft or training others.

Contact our Director of Life Saving for more information.

Be a Nipper (5-13yrs)

Nippers is a fun way for children aged 5 to 13 to enjoy the beach in a safe environment.

The program is designed to ensure children have fun at the beach while participating in lessons that provide them with a pathway to become a fully rounded participant in both lifesaving and sport.

Contact our Director of Junior Activities for more information.

Support Nippers

Support the development of our youngest members by getting involved in Nippers!

Whether you are a parent or someone who loves working with young people, be involved in this program by supporting Nippers in the water or by becoming a group leader.

Copacabana SLSC is committed to safeguarding children and young people – as part of this commitment you may be required to complete a Working with Children Check.

Get beach ready by letting us qualify you with a Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion, or contact us to explore how you can support our Nippers!

Be a First Aider

You don’t have to be a strong swimmer to play a role on your local patrol. Our volunteers add value in all sorts of ways.

Learn to save lives by getting to know where your local defibrillator is and becoming a First Aider on the beach and in your community.

Be a UAV Pilot

Any member can join our eyes in the sky to patrol the water far and wide using our newest piece of rescue equipment.
