Surf Lifesaving Education
Would you like to upgrade your Surf Lifesaving skills? Well we are here to help! The first in-house course kicking off this year is an IRB Crew and Driver Course. A course well worth doing as it takes the hard work out of swimming!
Requirements: To undertake the course you must meet the following criteria:
Driver candidates - Current bronze holder & financial current season - given limited numbers priority will be based on experience and patrol attendance but please express your interest!
Crew candidates - Current bronze holder & financial current season - - Again given limited numbers priority will be based on experience and patrol attendance but please express your interest!
Silver Medallion Basic Beach Management (Patrol Captain)
Must be Bronze or another award holder and be >17 y/o
Silver Medallion Aquatic Rescue
Minimum 16 years on date of assessment
Completion of a 400m pool swim in 8 minutes or less
Proficient Bronze Medallion holder

Since 1963, Copacabana Surf Life Saving Club has been serving the Copacabana community and its visitors. Located on the beautiful Central Coast of New South Wales, near Gosford, the Club started with just 14 active members, but now boasts over 400 members of which some 90 are active surf life savers.
Copacabana SLSC has a focus on enjoyment and participation at all levels, along with various competition programs for those that like to race!
