Welcome to the Copacabana Surf Life Saving Club!

A very warm welcome to Copacabana SLSC for the 2009/2010 season for both new and returning members. The Committee and Members of Copacabana Surf Lifesaving Club, welcome you to our ranks. We hope that your time spent with us, whether for recreational & fitness, sporting, educational, social or community purposes, is both a valuable and enjoyable experience. Memberships are available for Juniors, Seniors and Families, either Active or Social. Come along, bring the kids and have some great family fun. Life Saving is open to everyone, no matter your age, your gender, your cultural background or even your swimming ability. There is a role for everyone in Life Saving.

Copacabana SLSC members patrol the beach every weekend and public holiday from October to April. We teach children and adults vital surf safety and education, provide opportunities for skill development through training and competition, but most of all contribute to the safety, well being and social activities within the Copacabana community. We thank you all for your commitment to both the club and the vital community service which you fulfil.

Our Club – Your Club!

At Copacabana Surf Lifesaving Club, we are a very proud bunch! We believe that our club & it’s members do the very best they can to achieve three really important things on the beach. The first, that we embed a sense of pride in our youngsters. We have achieved a fabulous Nippers program that has families joining our membership from far & wide. They have heard that “Copa” is a true family orientated club, providing Nippers with the best fun & confidence building program on the coast! Our Nippers love their involvement & their ‘have a go’, ‘get involved’ attitude speaks in volumes.

Secondly, we take great pride in the service we provide, as volunteers, patrolling our beach. We have a small number of patrolling members, who are all at the beach doing their bit quite regularly, but they enjoy every minute of it & love keeping our beach safe for our community and visiting families.

Lastly and equally as important, we have great interest in opening up our club to the entire community & it’s visitors. We are extremely lucky to now have a fantastic new clubhouse. We are a social group, and encourage all of our community members to come down to the clubhouse and enjoy this wonderful new community facility as much as we do. ”Sundowners” is on every Sunday fortnight at 5pm. The bar and kitchen are open for meals and drinks, we’d love to have you join us.

Copacabana SLSC is a member of the Central Coast branch of Surf Life Saving NSW (SLSNSW), which in turn is a member of Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA).
